Shushman

Privacy

Shushman doesn’t collect personal data. What you write stays on your device, and we never see it.

What stays on your device

Your diary, your lesson progress and your action plan are stored in this browser’s local storage, on this device. They are never sent to us or anyone else. There is no server that could receive them: Shushman is a set of static pages, and everything you do happens in your browser.

If you lock your diary, entries and drafts are encrypted on this device with your passcode (AES-256, with the key derived by PBKDF2). The passcode is never stored. If you forget it, the diary can’t be recovered, by you or by us.

Clearing your browser data, or using a private window and closing it, erases everything. Export keeps a plain-text copy that is yours to store where you like.

What we receive

Nothing you type. Loading a page is an ordinary web request to our server, which keeps no visitor logs. There are no cookies, no analytics, no ads, no third-party scripts and no accounts. Fonts are served from our own server.

Quick exit

Quick exit (or pressing Esc twice) leaves at once for google.com and removes the page from the back button. It can’t erase your browser history. If someone might check your device, a private window is safer from the start.

Links to other sites

Some pages link to outside services, such as a directory of helplines. Those sites have their own privacy policies; we send them nothing.

Who is responsible

Shushman is operated by Yasin Cetiner, trading as Artizco, in Finland. Contact: hello@artizco.com. Because we process no personal data from you, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete on your behalf. Your data is on your device, under your control. You can complain to the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi) or the authority where you live.
