Someone wrote this down
There's a senior colleague who cuts me off almost every time I speak in meetings. Not rudely — smoothly, like a lane change. Then ten minutes later they say my point back to the room in their own words, and people nod. The first few times I told myself I was imagining it. Then I started counting. Six meetings in a row. I've started rehearsing my sentences in the elevator so they come out faster, and I hate that I do that. Last week I stopped talking in the meeting altogether, and nobody noticed.
What they wish they’d said“I wasn't finished.”
What would help: help naming the pattern
